Her Story
Lily Fandre

A Family
Built on Basketball

Some players are born into basketball. Lily Fandre is one of them — in the truest sense. Her parents, Clay and Wendy Fandre, met at the University of Minnesota Duluth while both playing Division II basketball. The sport wasn't just something they did; it was the thread that wove their family together.

When Lily was four years old, her mother Wendy passed away unexpectedly. What Wendy left behind — the love of the game, the grit, the competitive fire — lives on every time Lily steps onto a court.

Growing up in Eagan, Minnesota, Lily became a standout at Eagan High School, earning Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors and shattering the school record for blocked shots. She arrived at Lehigh University as one of the most complete forwards in the Patriot League recruiting class.

Four years later, she left as one of the program's all-time greats — and as a professional athlete.

"She carries the legacy of both her parents every time she plays."
— The Brown & White, May 2026

Going Pro in Australia

After four years of excellence at Lehigh, Lily Fandre is taking her game to the international stage. She'll compete in the NBL1 Women's League in Australia during the summer of 2026 — one of the most competitive semi-professional leagues in the Southern Hemisphere, a launching pad for players with their eyes on the highest levels of the sport.

It's the next chapter in a story that started with two parents who fell in love over a shared love of the game — and a daughter who turned that legacy into something extraordinary.
